For Irish secondary schools
Giraft shows what policies you hold, what is missing, what is overdue, what is with the board, and what is published — and gives you the evidence to hand an inspector. Grounded in Irish law, ratified by your board.
The problem
A secondary school holds a large suite of statutory policies, and each one has to stay current as circulars change, be ratified by the board of management, be published, and be acknowledged by staff.
Done by hand, that is a folder-assembly scramble every time the Inspectorate calls — board folders, Word documents, old PDFs, staff emails, website uploads and someone's memory.
Policies protect the school, but only if they are current, approved, communicated, and easy to prove.
What Giraft gives you
Giraft holds every policy, its review date, its ratification and its staff acknowledgement in one place. Drafting is no longer the hard part — managing the lifecycle is, and that is what Giraft runs.
How it works
Your full policy control centre — total, missing, overdue, due soon, with staff, with the board, published.
Your policies
31 policies · 2 due for review · 1 with the board
Overdue and due-soon alerts, so a review date never slips quietly past.

3. Reporting Procedures
2 days agoJ. O'Connor (Deputy)
“The escalation path here doesn't mention the DLP by name. Should it?”
Giraft · suggested reply
The DLP is named in §1 and referenced in the cross-section flow. Children First Act 2015 §14 establishes the role; we already point to it.
5. Online Safeguarding
3 days agoM. Walsh (Parent)
“Could you spell out what 'inappropriate use' means in this section?”
Giraft · suggested reply
Reasonable ask — current wording is general. Suggest substituting a definition with concrete examples (filters, messaging apps, confidential material).
7. Staff Training
4 days agoA. Murphy (Chair)
“Annual refresher is good. We should specify Garda vetting renewal too.”
Giraft · suggested reply
Vetting cycle (Garda Vetting Bureau, every 3 years) is named under §6. We can cross-link from §7 for clarity.

Built for your sector
Recommended, required and useful policies — start with the ones you already have.
The evidence layer
Every approved policy is sealed to the version and date your board ratified it — a cryptographic seal over the approved text, the voters and the timestamp.
This is the sector Giraft is built and validated for today. Everything on this page is live in production at giraft.ai.
Questions
Who stands over legal accuracy?
Giraft grounds every policy in the named legislation and Department procedures and validates citations during generation. The board of management remains the legal author and ratifying authority.
Is the legislation kept current?
Giraft grounds policies in the named Acts and procedures and is maintained as those procedures change — for example the move to Bí Cineálta and the 2025 child-protection procedures.
Where do parents and inspectors see our policies?
On a public portal that always shows the current approved version and its approval date.
We will walk you through Giraft with your own school's policies. No pricing pressure — just show you what it does.
